One of the most painful losses is that of a child; whether the child spent time only in the womb or for a few short hours or even days on earth. It’s also one of the most unrecognized losses because many who have never experienced the pain have trouble understanding the heartache. But it’s a heartache that is felt deep within a person’s soul. I’ll never forget the day I was told I was miscarrying. It was at that moment that I heard for the first time the sound of a heart breaking…my heart. If you have suffered through a pregnancy loss know this: it’s not your fault. And you are not alone. May these poems below provide you with peace and comfort as you navigate your own grief; a grief that in time will lessen.
