Discouraged & Despaired?

Discouraged Despaired

  • When I am pressed on every side by troubles, I am not crushed and broken.  When I am perplexed because I don’t know why things happen as they do, I don’t give up and quit.  ~2 Corinthians 4:8 (TLB)
  • God is my shield, my glory and the lifter of my head. ~ Psalm 3:3
  • The eyes of the Lord are on me, and His ears are open to my cry…When I cry out, the Lord hears, and delivers me out of all my troubles.  ~ Psalm 34:15, 17 (NKJV)
  • I waited patiently and expectantly for the Lord; and He inclined to me and heard my cry.  He drew me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, steadying my steps and establishing my goings.  And He has put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. ~ Psalm 40:1-3
  • Why are you down in the dumps, dear soul?  Why are you crying the blues?  I fix my eyes on God and soon I’ll be praising again.  He puts a smile on my face.  He’s my God.  ~ Psalm 42:5 (The Message)
  • But God, Who comforts and encourages and refreshes and cheers the depressed and the sinking, comforted and encouraged and refreshed and cheered me.  ~2Corinthians 7:6
  • I fear not, for I shall not be ashamed; neither will I be confounded and depressed, for I shall not be put to shame. ~Isaiah 54:4
  • I will cry to God with my voice, and He will give ear and hearken to me.  In the day of my trouble I seek the Lord. ~Psalm 77:1-2
  • I ARISE (from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept me–I arise to a new life)!  I shine (am radiant with the glory of the Lord), for my light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon me! ~ Isaiah 60:1
  • You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing.  You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy, that I might sing praises to you and not be silent.  O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever. ~Psalm 30:11-12 (NLT)
  • And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. ~Romans 8:28
  • I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world. ~John 16:33 (NLT)
