Top 10 Blog Posts of 2017

As a blogger, it is always interesting and fun to go back and look at your blog posts written in that year. And not just to see which ones gained the most views, but also to look back and reflect. Because for me, each blog post doesn’t just tell a story of the events that were taking place in my life at the time, but also the events that were taking place in my heart.

Events of joy. Happiness. And growth.

But also events of sadness. Heartache. Fear. And a lack of trust in my God.

Looking back I am grateful for the events, because I can see how each one shaped me into the person I am today.

A person who fears less. And trust more.

A person who is more secure in her hope. And more confident in herself.

And a person who is more understanding of life’s struggles. Because I know that without them I wouldn’t have found my true strength. Or my will to persevere. Or my faith to press on. And press on. And press on.

I can’t wait to see what 2018 has in store for me. Hopefully fewer hospital bills…unless they are from giving birth. hehe

  1. Oh, my, Elisha! I haven’t been here to visit with you in a long time, and I am just reading of your terrible health scare and all you went through this past year. I am SO sorry to know of your troubles! It brought back so many horrible memories, because my dear husband was diagnosed with diverticulitis at age 33, also. He is now 53, and I am so thankful to tell you that God has brought him through “many dangers, toils, and snares”, and He has touched his body more times than I can even count or remember. He is a faithful God…I know you know that, but I just wanted to give you this encouragement, in case there are any more fears remaining concerning your future. I praise God that He healed and closed the hole in your colon, and it is just wonderful to read how He answered prayers on your behalf! The same God who did this will continue to see you through, I have no doubt. I was so thrilled to read that you were able to adopt your little foster girl!!!! CONGRATULATIONS to you and your husband! I know you must be so thrilled!! I am still praying for you and believing that God will send you a baby of your own, too. I will continue to pray for you. God bless you in a special way, and may 2018 be much healthier for you!!
