It’s Moving Day: Giving Infertility the Eviction Notice {part one}

If you follow me on my Waiting for Baby Bird Facebook page, then you might have already seen this. It is a status update I made last week, and while I normally don’t post my “personal lady business” as a status update, I felt the need to do so on that particular night. And I am so glad I did. Check out why…

Here is my status update from March 10th, 2015:

Status Update about Eviction Notice

This is a response I received a few short hours after my posting…

38 days eviction

And this, my friends, is what I received from her less than 24 hours later…

testimony of eviction

WOWZA, right? Friends, I can’t tell you enough how important it is to speak to our mountains and put our words into action; because of our words, whether filled with faith or fear, life or death, have power. They can have power over the enemy. Over our circumstances. Over our symptoms. Over our moods. And over our fears and doubts. Because while we can think our problems away all we want to, Mark 11:22-23 clearly points out that we must speak to them if we want them actually to move.

“Have faith in God. For assuredly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Mark 11:22-23

I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. Luke 10:19

So friends, what are you saying? What mountains do you need to be removed from your life? Financial mountains? Relationship mountains? The mountain of infertility? Or polycystic ovaries? Or endometriosis? A long cycle? Chronic pain? Migraines? Take authority over them today by speaking to them and not just about them. Because according to the word spoken by Jesus, talking only about them won’t necessarily change anything, but speaking to them in faith, using God’s word and the authority He has already given you, will.  And, I can’t emphasize to you enough to not be discouraged or give up if you don’t see anything happen immediately afterward or even a short while later. Because just like it takes a couple of hits to break open a nut, it might take several times of you delivering an eviction notice to the enemy before he finally takes you serious and packs up his bags to leave.

So my encouraging word to you today is to speak! Give the enemy his eviction notice because he is no match for you. For greater is He (God) that is in you, then he (the devil) who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

For more about the power of your words, check out my post, “Shut Your Pie Hole.”

UPDATE:  Since I published this post, I have had numerous messages from women with very encouraging testimonies about how they read this post and then did some evicting of their own. Check out this one…

Hey Elisha! I have a few ladies in my group that are waiting for their periods. I sent them your suggestion to command the devil to leave their bodies alone. I just got this text back from one of them. I’m all teary and covered in goosebumps. Our God is so awesome!

“This morning I thanked God for my blessings like I do every time I’m driving. Then I started praying over my body and telling God that I believed for balance to come over me in all areas. I was so into it that I started banging the steering wheel in frustration commanding the devil to leave my body telling him he has no place and no control. Well, today I went to the restroom and guess what, my cycle started!”

And this one…

Hello Elisha. I meant to share this last week, but I tried the “eviction notice” prayer over my body because I just wanted to have a healthy cycle. So, I started praying on Saturday and I prayed a little throughout the day. And on Sunday morning, my period started. As someone who has only recently started to have a cycle after YEARS of nothing (or medication induced cycles) I cannot begin to express the joy that comes with feeling like I am moving toward health. But more than that, feeling seen and heard by God brought so much peace. Things may not be happening on my timeline or how I want them to happen– but I haven’t been forgotten. Thanks for the encouragement to pray a bold prayer to our mountains!”

With Love

    1. You are welcome Amie! I had never intended on putting this on the blog but I wanted to have this not only for those who don’t follow my facebook page, but also for myself to go back and look at in those moments when I am doubting. It’s not easy going back to read a status update MONTHS later. lol

  1. Hello! I’m a new follower and wanted to thank you for writing such inspirational posts. This one in particular has made a strong impression on me. You are helping me through some very difficult days and for that, I want to say thanks and God bless!

      2. This is so awesome Sarah and I’m beyond excited that my journey is helping you on your journey! I did get your email and I plan on emailing you back ASAP (probably tonight). Things have been crazy and hectic around here with me trying to get prepared and ready for my first infertility support group meeting that I am starting on a monthly basis. I so wish you could come :/

  2. Praise God! I too have been praying this prayer, I’ve been bleeding for 6 months straight and I’ve told the enemy this is it! Final eviction notice! In the name of Jesus!

    1. Amen! I’m standing with you sugars! In the name of Jesus, the enemy has no right to trespass on God’s property and he must flee!

  3. BEAUTIFUL! Love that you obeyed and posted this even against what you’re normally comfortable with and Love love LOVE how God showed up. EEK!

  5. Thank you for this reminder!! I just stopped at my desk to pray over my body through the verses you posted. I have been praying “about” our issues and not “to” them. This is a post I needed to read today. Thank you for listening to the Lord and following through with his prompting!!

    1. I can’t wait to hear the testimony that will come from you speaking to your mountains! I am believing with you!

  6. Wow, awesome post! And like so many other ladies on here, perfect timing. Words are so incredibly powerful when used through God. You’re right that things might not be happening right away but I KNOW that behind the scenes major mountains are being moved.

    1. Oh I have recruited a few others just in case my strength isn’t strong, but theirs is. I am so thankful for the other ladies.

  7. I always enjoy reading about how God is moving through you and through you, He is able to move through others. It’s a domino effect and it’s absolutely amazing!! As always, I’m rooting and praying for you! XO

  8. I am beaming from ear to ear right now! I have several ladies (one especially in particular that is starting Progesterone next week if hers doesn’t come) in my Infertile Myrtles group that need to read this. I’m sharing! So glad you put this into a post as I sometimes miss things on FB. Our God is good all the time!! *Hugs* and congratulations on ending such a long, dreaded cycle!
